How to Grow Carrots:
Plant the seeds after the danger of heavy frost in rows 12” apart and .5” deep. Make sure the seeds are planted in a sunny location. As well ensure that the soil is properly moistened and to keep the weeds under control.
How to Grow Lettuce:
Plant you seeds 1” apart in early spring in a sunny location. Thin to 6-12”if you want mature heads of lettuce or do not thin for baby leaves. Continually water the lettuce to ensure that the soil is moist.
How to Grow Peas:
Plant seeds in early spring, spacing 2-3” apart and 18” - 24” between each row. Do not thin the crop. Peas need a trellis or a fence to climb up. Will be ready to eat late spring, early summer.
How to Grow Broccoli:
Plant the seeds indoors for 3-4 weeks before transplanting outdoors 10”-18” apart in rows of 18”-36” apart. Thin the crop to one plant 12” apart. Make sure to adequately water the plants.
How to Grow Beets:
Plants the seeds indoors for 4-6 weeks before regular heavy frosts occur. Once the seedlings are ready to transplant outdoors .5” deep 3” apart in rows of 14”-18” apart. Thin to 1 plant per 2” when true leaves begin to show. Continually make sure the plants are getting sufficient water.
