How it works

1. Join the Halden Cut Flower Experience

At checkout enter your zip code and climate classification. If you don’t know your climate you can enter your zip code into an AI search and ask which of the 12 Koppen Climates you live in.

We customize your box so you receive plants at the correct planting time and that grow in your region.

2. Know Your Climate

With each box you receive an email with a savable PDF which contains:

-Simple step-by-step planting instructions.

-More comprehensive information about this months plant

-Tips for maintaining previous plantings.

-Harvesting and arranging guidance.

-Soil and maintenance tips and reminders

You’ll easily grow a beautiful flower garden by allowing us to do the hard part for you.

Each year and each climate’s growing plan is different so you’ll experience a wide variety of beautiful flowers.

3. Learn With Us

Each month you receive a plant (bulbs, plant, tuber etc) designed to fill 32 square feet of garden space over a year of growing - the equivalent of a 4 × 8 raised bed.

Plant it in:

-one garden bed

-containers or pots

-or anywhere in your yard

4.What We Send

What You Will Need

  • You will need about a 4 X 8 planting area (32 square feet) of space located in a place with full sun (at least 5 hours a day)

  • You will need a water source for your chosen site. A hose, sprinklers, or drip system will work especially well or even a simple watering can will also work if you are planting in pots or raised beds.

  • You will not need indoor seed starting equipment, extensive tools, tillers, or a large selection of fertilizers or gardening equipment. We like to keep it simple here at Halden. If you have a place to plant with some sun and water then we can grow a garden together. Let’s get growing!
